I’m in Auckland right now.

Hello to you,

Are you well? Yes? Super. Me? I’m a bit tired. Why? Oh that’s because I’ve just spent 28 hours on a plane flying 12,000 miles to New Zealand.

I am genuinely so excited to be here. After stressing for months about props, flights, accomodation and annoying my lovely promoter Scott with thousands of emails I finally made it into Auckland at around 5.30am this morning with most of my props. Some of them are stuck with customs…. please sort that out Mr Fed Ex. I need them to make magic happen.

So on Monday myself, a big box and two suitcases left London Heathrow for Auckland. Nearly 2 days later I arrived after what was a bloody awesome flight on Air New Zealand. I got upgraded to Business Premier class meaning I got a fancy seat bed to look out of place in. I ate, drank wine, watched films, slept, and then woke up and repeated the process. I’m now in Auckland for a day before heading to the South Island to see some of the sights this beautiful country has to offer before returning here next week to do previews of my show Mind Over Patter at The Classic, and then do the full shows at The Herald Theatre. I’m very much looking forward to getting to know Auckland, to working out which jokes work for a Kiwi crowd, to finding out if my tricks and mind-games work on the other side of the equator and getting at least some sort of a sun-tan.

Not much to say for now, mainly due to being tired but also due to the fact all I’ve done so far is drink coffee and get some phsyio, but I shall promise to write more exciting blogs soon and give you all the goss of what this skinny mind-reader is getting up to.

Bye for now

Chris x
