Chris Cox – Fatal Distraction 2011

So here it is then, all the goss on my 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Show, Fatal Distraction.

CHRIS COX: FATAL DISTRACTION
EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL 2011
PLEASANCE KING DOME, PLEASANCE DOME (VENUE 23)
7:10PM, 3RD – 29TH AUGUST (NOT 16TH)

Fatal Distraction is the brand new show from the multi award-winning, five star, fringe sell-out, mind reader who can’t read minds, Chris Cox. He’s been on TV, toured the world and is somehow still getting away with it.

Chris will be doing things he shouldn’t be able to do with the fringe brochure, performing tricks nobody has ever done before, controlling coincidence, probing theories of fate and answering the FAQ: ‘Can you use this stuff on girls?’. Determined to deliver the most satisfying hour at the fringe Chris will be handing control over to his audience by giving them the power to control his actions with their minds.

Breathtakingly accurate, his predictions are a mongrel hybrid mix of psychology, magic, body language, influencing, comedy, devilish good looks, and most importantly lying. He constantly astonishes audiences with cutting-edge and highly imaginative stunts, charmingly delivered with a warm and mischievous sense of fun.

Chris’ astounding skills are self taught and he conceives and designs all of his own tricks and effects. With regular appearances on TV and radio including a recent appearance on BBC Two’s Dick and Dom’s Funny Business, Chris has attracted celebrity fans including Ricky Gervais, Jonathan Ross, Tim Minchin, Kelly Osbourne, Agyness Deyn and Dannii Minogue (who even proposed to him!)

“Astonishingly impressive … Prepare to be amazed” Time Out
“One of the most exciting entertainers in Britain…the hottest ticket in town” The Guardian
“Stunning…. has other magicians scratching their heads” The Times
“We are clearly in the hands of a master technician – MUST SEE!” The Stage
“Slicker than a baby seal on a waterslide…seriously impressive” The Scotsman
“He’s brilliant, he’ll blow your mind!” Ricky Gervais

Fantastic show! One can really see that you have put a lot of time and effort into your show and it pays off with a brilliant and entertaining performance. This was certainly one of the highlights of the fringe for my wife and I. Cant wait to see what comes next!
